Terceira
This is the magical Island that seems to have stopped in time. A very relaxed and quiet way of living, very friendly people, and a style of life dedicated to enjoy the good things in life, is the best way to describe these people.
With around 60,000 people this small island stands out in history with great heroic achievements like standing up against the Spanish invasions while the rest of the country was being taken over by them, including the "batalha da Salga". According to the people while Spanish ships were secretly unloading troops into the island, a native woman who had lost her husband and son in battle opened the gates to let the bulls run against the Spanish soldiers making them drown and not be successful with their plan.
These Pictures are what this island is today, the famous running of the bulls in the main streets called "touradas a corda", some more cool pictures of the scenery and some other things...enjoy.
